My first graphic design job was as a production designer for a direct mail firm, and InDesign became my bread & butter. I love that program more than most, and although my current work primarily utilizes Illustrator, I relish every opportunity to return to my old favorite app. Several of my projects have taken a hybrid approach to communications, utilizing both digital and print designs.

The DLCC Zine

In 2019 I curated and designed the DLCC’s first zine, the Summer Reading List. The zine featured an original short story by Stacey Abrams, essays by legislators and partner organizations, like Crooked Media, and activity pages. The Summer Reading List was published on Medium, Instagram Stories (inspired by the New York Public Library’s “Insta Novels”), and also had a limited edition print run, with free copies sent to grassroots supporters and distributed at local campaign events.

American Economic Liberties Project

I’ve designed dozens of policy reports and briefs for the American Economic Liberties Project utilizing existing branding and templates by Wide Eye. I created the State and Local Victories booklet (pictured above and in full length here) with a mix of existing assets and fresh design.

Office of the Governor of California

I collaborated with Governor Gavin Newsom’s policy team to design a series of 13 pamphlets celebrating his (many) policy wins. Many of these issues hit home for me and as I was working on this project, I found myself peeking at Zillow listings in California. You can check out a full pamphlet here. I also created a series of policy graphics for his website in the same style.

Anti-Monopoly Summit 2023

I created event signage, deck templates, and more for the American Economic Liberties Project’s 2023 Anti-Monopoly Summit. Logo designed by Maddie Valley.

Viral Art Project

In 2020 I created two posters for the Viral Art Project, a collaborative effort in the spring of 2020 to raise awareness of the challenges facing our country during COVID-19 and promote public health messages. My posters were featured in roundups by AIGA NY and Framebridge.
